Assistive Listening Devices
Available for events in the Cinema, Lecture Room, and the William and Nadine McGuire Theater. Headsets can be borrowed from the lobby desks. Devices are also available for gallery tour participants.
Qualified Interpretation
A qualified interpreter can be arranged for any Walker event with at least 2 weeks advance notice. Interpreters are also available for guided gallery tours and Art Lab experiences when requested at least 4 weeks in advance. For more information, call 612.375.7564.
Visitors with Limited Mobility
All entrances and public areas at the Walker—including galleries, restaurants, shop, restrooms, the McGuire Theater, the Cinema, and the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden—are wheelchair accessible.
Entrances are located on Vineland Place and Hennepin Avenue. Services such as Metro Mobility should be instructed to drop off and pick up passengers at 725 Vineland Place, across from the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. Elevators are located throughout the Walker. Wheelchairs are available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis at both lobby desks. Motorized wheelchairs are permitted. Large Print/Braille
Large-print labels are available in all exhibitions and can be requested from the gallery monitor at any time. Large-print visitor guides are available at the lobby desks. A Braille visitor guides are forthcoming.
Audio Description
Audio description is available for selected events and by request with at least 2 weeks advance notice. Please call 612.375.7564 for more information.
Gallery stools are available upon request.
